When deKai attended his first techno party in 1992, it marked a turning point in his life. Until 2002, his friends were DJing and heavily influencing his sound. In 2004, after visiting Ohm Club in Madrid and realizing none of his friends were DJing in clubs anymore, he returned home and bought two Technics turntables and a mixer. The first records were purchased, and the beginning was more than bumpy.
Things started to gain momentum when Günni showed up with his record collection. Every weekend, the two played together at home before moving on to smaller gigs in bars and clubs, including regular appearances at Braaaatz and the 3Klang parties at Ohrakel.
From the very beginning, his passion was dark, driving techno — strongly influenced by his affinity for heavy metal. One fan described his sound as “the feeling of being chased by a predator and running for your life.”
When clubs in Bavaria began closing at 4 or 5 a.m., no longer matching his rhythm, a decisive chapter followed: Berlin. After an intense and formative year, he officially arrived on December 1, 2009.
One milestone in his journey was a legendary 10-hour set at Magdalena near Schillingbrücke, after which the club’s basement was named after him — “Kai’s Keller.” Another defining moment was his performance at the iconic Hoppetosse.
With the founding of Ragnarøk in 2013, a new path began, wild, eventful, and unrestrained until 2022. In 2023, a new era began with the founding of the label "valhall records".
